Two weeks ago I got a ton of fabric to start on my daughters room. What have I done with it? Nothing.
I has sat waiting while I make more interesting things. So yesterday I finally did it.
Okay, not the most amazing photo, but I made it, finally! A simple bed skirt. No pleats or ruffles. Simple and pink.
Pretty smart huh! {I tried to do this to my king size box spring...didn't work. Apparently mine is made of metal. :( }
Do you have ugly shades like this?! Well, we rent so I can't change it. So what can I do?
Use Velcro!
Use Velcro!
Simple and cute. I added a strip of pink from the bed skirt fabric to tie it together.
The top of this window has a 1 inch lip. So I attached some adhesive Velcro to the top, and stitched some Velcro to the drapes.
I found you via New Friend Friday and given my affinity for all things purple, I'm glad I did :)
ReplyDeleteHow pretty, I love the shades of pink and purple that you are using!
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower from New Friend Friday, so glad to have found your blog. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Cute. I bet your daughter is excited too. Doesn't it feel good to get a room more done too. I know it does for me. Thank you for linking this up! Go you on doing it. Happy Friday to you.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I think you really did "cuten" it up ;) Thanks for linking up to Thrilling Thursdays @ Paisley Passions :)
ReplyDeleteGreat room! I love valance cheats!
ReplyDeleteI had some of those same ugly shades & finally threw them out. I rent too but I knew my landlord wouldn't mind. That is such a great idea to velcro a valance over them!
ReplyDeleteI love the bedskirt idea. I am going to have to do that on my daughters bed.
