What I got for Christmas

Look what I got for Christmas from my amazing sister in-law!
This one is the best...a CD book about the Prophets of my church.
Starting at Joseph Smith, each disk has one prophet and the dates he served. Ending today with President Monson and the First Presidency.
So fun! I think I enjoy looking at it more than my kids!

These are tiles with vinyl nativity characters. I need to get some plate stands to hold these. They will be perfect on my new shelf next year.

Sweet little apron for Danika. She can play in her little play kitchen with a sparkly new apron.

Oven mitt. I love the fabric, so cheerful!
Thanks Missy for the great gifts!

Quick 2x4 Gift

Here is a cute little 2x4 idea. It holds pictures and is a simple and fast gift.
Start with a 2x4. Cut it to any length you want. This piece was left over so I used what I had.
Drill holes on the top of your piece to hold your wires. Do as little or as many as you like.

Cut a piece of paper to the needed size and Mod Modge your paper on. Press it down and then let dry. When dry you can sand the edges to create a more rough edge.

I used my Cricut to cut the word FAMILY in white vinyl.

I also used ink to darken my edges.

Twist your wires.
I added a ribbon around the board. I stuck my wire through the ribbon and into the pre-drilled holes.

All done. This took me only about a half hour. It would have been faster if I didn't have three kids bugging me!
Now I think I am going to give this to one of my friends. Hope she likes it!

Let's Do the Can-Can! Part 1

Here is an easy gift idea or decorating idea.
A can remodel!
I got these cans at my local hardware store for a few dollars. **make sure you get lids too!**
I used my scrapbook stuff to decorate them with. Added some ribbon and stamps, and wallah!
It's hard to read but this tag says "Thank you", and leaves space for a little note.

This is a Happy Thought can. I applied vinyl stickers on the brown that have inspirational words.

This is a smaller quart can that I added a monogram to. it could be used as a pencil/stuff holder for someones desk or just as a cute gift holder.
Hope you enjoy!
