Homemade Laundry Detergent Part 2

Several months ago I made Homemade Laundry Detergent. I have been using it for about 2 1/2 months and I LOVE IT!
I just made my second batch yesterday. It is so easy and it really does work.
No more itchy skin from store detergents. There is no stiffness, smells and it even works on dedicates.
You should try it!

  1. I made it and I find I have to use HOT water to dissolve the soap which I used to use cold water wash or warm. I also found the homemade soap is leaving a waxy film in my washer so have to run a hot vinegar wash to clean it. I am not so pleased I can say. But it was worth the try.

  2. Toodie-I am sorry that it didn't work for you! I have found that most detergents have to dissolve a bit before adding clothes. I usually dump my soap in first with hot water and then switch it to cold water after it has dissolved, them add my clothes. I haven't seen the film on my washer. Maybe we have different types of water?
